The Ria Formosa estuary, a wide expanse of canals, marshlands and sand banks that provide shelter to numerous species of migrating birds. This park is one of the most impressive in Europe with a rich and varied flora and fauna.The next stop is Olhão - a traditional fishing village, renowned for the cube-shaped white-washed houses, contrasting with the golden sands and the blue sky and sea. Here you have an opportunity to explore the famous market with its huge selection of fish. After the Olhão market visit, lunch is served in a typical restaurant, where you will be delighted with the freshness of the fish. After lunch, a visit to the tiny, traditional fishing village - Santa Luzia. There you will see the pots used to catch octopus - an ingenious device! Our final stop is Tavira - the queen of the Algarve coastal towns. See the Arab fortress, the Roman Bridge dating from the IV century and visit at least some of the towns 22 churches.
