MONDAY – Departure from Algarve to COIMBRA, 'the city of students', famous for its University, one of the oldest in Europe with free time for lunch (not included). After lunch proceed to AVEIRO with strong fishing traditions next to the sea and the Ria. It is crossed by a network of canals through which Moliceiros meander. Enjoy the trip along the main canal and admire buildings in Art Nouveau style. Departure to Porto*, dinner and overnight.TUESDAY – After breakfast PORTO sightseeing, Douro river cruise and a wine lodge visit with Porto wine tasting. Optional visit to Palacio da Bolsa a World Heritage Site by Unesco (Entrance fee not included). Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Porto*.
WEDNESDAY – After breakfast departure to TOMAR, a Templar city, Order of the Knights Templar, the most important place of the Templar History in Portugal. Optional visit to the Convent of Christ also a Unesco World Heritage (Entrance fee not included). Free time for lunch. Afternoon departure to FATIMA, dinner and overnight. FATIMA is the centre of Christian faith and one of the most important Shrines dedicated to Virgin Mary.
THURSDAY – After breakfast departure to NAZARÉ, a city with colorful fishing traditions. The viewpoint Sitio has an panoramic view over the Atlantic, where surfers from around the world venture giant waves thanks to the 'Nazaré Canyon'. Stop at the beach front. Proceed to mediaeval village of ÓBIDOS for lunch (not included) within the castle walls, with a maze of streets and whitewashed houses. Return to Algarve.
